About me
I am Dan Louie Aquino
"I was designed to design".
My career path was set out as a Hotel and Restaurant Management graduate. I had a clear plan of where I was headed and what my future would look like. However, as we all know, the pandemic hit, and things quickly turned.
Like many others, I was out of work and unsure of my next move. It was a difficult time but also a time of self-reflection and discovery. I realized that I had always been interested in design and technology, so I explored these areas more.
During the pandemic, I began learning about UX and UI design. It was something that I had never considered before, but as I delved deeper into it, I found that I really enjoyed it. Designing user-friendly interfaces and solving problems through design was incredibly satisfying.
My previous work experience also served me well in this new career path. As a freelance event planner and organizer, I had a knack for organizing events and ensuring everything ran smoothly. And as an administrative assistant, I learned the importance of attention to detail and communication.
Outside of work, music has always been a big part of my life. I am a part of the music ministry in my church and love to sing whenever I can. And whenever I have free time, I volunteer and initiate any outreach programs I can.
The pandemic was challenging for everyone, but it taught me the importance of adapting and learning new things. It opened up a whole new world of possibilities and made me realize that there are so many things that I can do and offer.
I am excited to continue learning and growing as a UX and UI designer. I know I have a long way to go, but I am eager to take on the challenge. I am excited to see where this path will take me and to continue unfolding the new pages of my new beginnings.
